Evaluation to Select Tomato Genotypes with Big Fruit and Verification of Genetic Advance

Selection progress is one of the parameters success in a plant breeding program. with pedigree approach made early generation intended to increase mean value and reduce variance selected population. This study aimed determine selection response from F2 F3 different locations, obtain transgressive segregant genotypes. The was conducted August 2018 April 2019 at IPB Tajur II Experimental Field (300 m asl), Bogor, West Java, Indonesia. results showed positive for flowering time, fruit length, harvest diameter, weight per plant, weight, numbers fruits. There big difference between estimated real realized heritability, which most likely due differences location experiment. Transgressive found each observed character, but no genotype criteria all characters. were F3GH3-248 genotype, five seven characters observed.
